What does Emmanuel have for my family?

There are activities organized

  • For our children

    Sunday School Faith formation for all ages is an integral part of our church. We use a lectionary based curriculum called Seasons of the Spirit and plan innovative ways to include children and child centred age appropriate classes in worship.

    Camp Awesome A vacation Bible school program for children ages 4 -11 with crafts, music, drama and stories. Two one week camps in early July each year.

    Advent Adventure A one day Vacation Bible school in December to share the joy of the Christmas story.

  • For our youth

    Emmanuel United Church provides opportunities for youth to be involved in leadership, study, and programs to explore their faith.

    Movie Night Youth gather to watch a feature film once per month and look at the world through a faith lens.

    Mission Partners Youth volunteer at the Mission washing, cooking, and preparing food on the third Sunday afternoon of each month.

    Great Adventures Youth explore creation while enjoying adventures that include:

    • Hiking in the Adirondacks;
    • Skiing in the Laurentians; and
    • Canoeing in the wilderness.

    Faith is explored through service learning trips with various partners in North America and beyond! Visits have included partners in Nicaragua and El Salvador, as well as Habitat for Humanity throughout the US.

    Youth are involved in justice initiatives that include a fair trade fair, Halloween for Hunger to gather food for the local food banks and participation in the World Vision Famine.
