DESCRIPTION:Join Rideau Park United Church for a conversation about Palestine\, between Spiritual Advisor and Elder Albert Dumont and a beautiful Palestinian youth – a grade 9 student who was born in Gaza and who moved to Canada in 2021.\nAfter the formal conversation\, we will open up the meeting for a Sharing Circle.\n\nWith this Harmony Circle\, we want to create a safe space for people\, especially youth\, to:\n\n* learn more about the current genocide happening in Palestine* express their pain at the injustice of the situation* feel that they have a voice and are not being silenced* dive deep into the practice of unlearning and learning* create harmony within our communities \n\n\nWe will end the Harmony Circle with concrete social justice actions we can take to help Palestine. DESCRIPTION:Come join the Rotarians at Emmanuel on Monday\, April 29 from 6 to 8 pm to participate in the Go with the Flow project.\n\nThis is an original initiative to help young girls continue their schooling after their period begins. It involves making and distributing reusable feminine hygiene kits.  To date\, they have been sent to Ghana\, India\, Sri Lanka and Madagascar \nOn Monday evening\, participants will help assemble kits. As the organizers put it: We believe a period should end a sentence\, not an education.” \n\nPlease contact Bill McLeish at bill3alex@gmail.com to register.
