Outings

Great Adventures
(Hiking, canoeing, snowshoeing, skiing...)

The Emmanuel faith community participates in various off-site adventures throughout the year. These may be ski trips, canoe camps, pilgrimages, or family camps which are all designed to bring us closer together as a church community and strengthen our spiritual bond with God.

Nature Pilgrimages

Join us for a spiritual experience, faith, fun and fellowship while we explore a nature hike in the Ottawa-Gatineau area. The program includes a short worship service, time to reflect, rest, walk in the woods, enjoy free time, communion and ice cream. Past destinations include The Baxter Conservation Area, The Mill of Kintail, The MacKenzie King Estate in the Gatineau Park and others.  We try to have two pilgrimages per year. As we travel with others and share together what the journey means, we hope to see the world with new eyes. For more information, contact the church office.

Tues. Afternoon Coffee & Conversation

Emmanuel’s Tuesday afternoon Coffee & Conversation folks meet at Three Sisters Bakeshop (2211 Arch St) from 2:00-3:00. All are welcome to join in for camaraderie (… without an agenda!). For more information, contact Phyllis Macrae at pmjmacrae@gmail.com.

Feature with the Preacher

“Feature with the Preacher” is back!

Join Grant at one of our local repertoire theatres for a movie night. We’ll watch the early evening movie and then meet at a nearby pub or restaurant and discuss the movie and other topics of interest.  Movies will be either at the Mayfair Theatre or the Bytowne Cinema.  The date of these outings will be planned about two weeks in advance of the outing as the theatre schedules are published. Please let Grant Stuckless know if you would like to be added to an email list to be informed of upcoming movie dates.
