Teen Evenings

Join us for teen evenings once per month from September to June (usually the third Sunday of the month) from 6:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. There are games, dinner and fun faith-based activities to enjoy. For further information, please contact Ellen Brohman (ellenbrohman@gmail.com) or Val Lines (bvlines@rogers.com).

Summer Camp

Summer Camp is a one-week long day camp held at Emmanuel in July. It consists of stories, games, crafts, cooking and STEM activities. The camp will run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with pre and post care available. Look for advertising and applications beginning in early Winter.

Cook and Canoe Camp

The “cook and canoe camp” is for youth going into Grade 4 in September or older. Monday and Tuesday are spent at Emmanuel preparing food for the camp and playing games. The canoe camping takes place at Lac LaPeche in the Gatineau Hills, about 45 minutes north of Ottawa from Wednesday morning to Friday afternoon. Applications are available in the spring from the Sunday School leaders.

Rainbow Hub

Rainbow Hub is a monthly social group organized and supported by the EOORC for LGBTQ2+ youth who are 12-18 years of age from across the city. For more information, please contact Ellen Brohman at ellenbrohman@gmail.com.

Worshiplude

Worshiplude is a winter worship and fellowship event for youth and young adults (ages 10+) hosted by the Eastern Ontario Outaouais Region (EOOR) of the United Church of Canada that coincides with Winterlude in Ottawa. It’s been happening for over 20 years in Ottawa! Worship + Winterlude = Worshiplude. Groups plan and lead their own activities during the day and gather Saturday night for a collective worship and dinner. As a local church, we often play host to visiting youth groups. Our youth have been active in programming and performing at Worshiplude.
